One on One Islamic Finance Mentorship
Personalized guidance from experienced Islamic finance professionals. Weekly sessions. Unlimited email support. Tailored to your goals.
Personalized Islamic Finance Mentorship for Serious Learners
Some people learn best from books. Some learn best from videos. Some learn best from group classes. But some people learn best from one on one guidance. They need someone to answer their specific questions. They need someone to hold them accountable. They need someone to walk with them through their unique financial situation.
Our One on One Mentorship program is for you. You are paired with an experienced Islamic finance professional who meets with you regularly. You can choose weekly sessions or sessions every two weeks. Each session is 45 minutes. You can use this time to ask questions, review your financial situation, learn new concepts, or get feedback on your plans.
Between sessions you have unlimited email support. Your mentor answers your questions within 48 hours. You do not need to wait until your next session.
The mentorship can focus on whatever you need. Zakat calculation. Halal investing. Islamic estate planning. Career guidance for Islamic finance. General Islamic finance literacy. You and your mentor design the curriculum together.
Mentorship is available for three month, six month, or twelve month terms. At the end of your term you receive a certificate of completion and a written summary of what you have learned.
If you are serious about learning Islamic finance, this is the most effective way. One on one attention. Tailored to your needs. Accountability to keep you on track.

Personalized Learning Plan
At the beginning of your mentorship, you and your mentor create a personalized learning plan. The plan identifies your goals. Do you want to learn to manage your own halal investment portfolio? Do you want to understand zakat so you can calculate it yourself every year? Do you want to prepare for a career in Islamic finance? Do you want to get your personal finances in order? The plan outlines what you will learn and when. The plan is flexible. You can change it as your needs change.
Monthly Progress Reports
Each month your mentor provides a written progress report. The report summarizes what you have learned. It identifies areas where you have improved. It identifies areas that still need work. It sets goals for the next month. The report is for you. You can keep it for your records. You can share it with your spouse or your manager if they are supporting your learning. The report helps you see how far you have come. It keeps you motivated.
Completion Certificate
At the end of your mentorship term, you receive a certificate of completion. The certificate includes your name, the duration of the mentorship, and the focus areas you studied. For example it might say Completed three month mentorship in Halal Investing. It includes our official seal. The certificate is suitable for adding to your resume or LinkedIn profile. It shows potential employers that you have received personalized training from a qualified Islamic finance professional.
How It Works
Application
Complete a brief application form on our website. The form asks about your background, your goals, and why you want mentorship. It takes about 10 minutes. We review applications within three business days. We want to make sure we can meet your needs before we accept you.
Mentor Matching
Based on your application, we match you with the most suitable mentor. We consider your goals, your background, your preferred school of thought, your language preference English or Cantonese or Mandarin, and your time zone. We send you a mentor profile. You have the opportunity to approve the match or request a different mentor.
Kickoff Session
You schedule a 60 minute kickoff session with your mentor. During this session you introduce yourselves. You discuss your goals in depth. You create your personalized learning plan. You schedule your regular sessions. You agree on communication protocols. By the end of the kickoff session, you know exactly what to expect.
Regular Sessions
You meet with your mentor according to your schedule. Weekly or every two weeks. Each session is 45 minutes. You can use the time however you want. Some students come with a list of questions. Some students ask the mentor to teach a specific topic. Some students review their portfolio together with the mentor. The sessions are yours to use.
Email Support Between Sessions
Between sessions you email your mentor with questions. The mentor responds within 48 hours. You can also share documents for the mentor to review. The mentor may ask you to complete worksheets or readings before the next session. The learning continues between sessions.
Completion
At the end of your term you receive a final progress report and your certificate of completion. You also have the option to extend your mentorship for another term. Many students choose to extend because they find the ongoing accountability valuable.
Frequently Asked Questions
All of our mentors have at minimum a Masters degree in Islamic finance from a recognized university or equivalent professional certification. Many have both. They also have at least five years of practical experience in the Islamic finance industry. Some have worked at Islamic banks. Some have worked at Takaful companies. Some have worked at halal investment firms. Some have academic backgrounds and have published research. We vet all mentors carefully. We check their credentials. We interview them. We test their knowledge. We only accept mentors who are both knowledgeable and good teachers. Being an expert does not automatically make someone a good mentor. We look for both qualities.
Yes. If you feel that your mentor is not a good fit for you after the first two sessions, we will assign you a different mentor at no additional cost. We want you to have a positive experience. The relationship between mentor and student is important. If you do not click with your mentor, the learning will suffer. We do not want that. You can request a change at any time during the first month of your mentorship. After the first month, you can still request a change but there may be a small administrative fee if the request is based on preference rather than a genuine problem with the mentor.
This is one on one. It is just you and your mentor. No other students are present. The sessions are private. You can ask any question without embarrassment. You can share personal financial information knowing that it stays between you and your mentor. The mentor signs a confidentiality agreement before your first session. Your privacy is protected. If you prefer group mentorship for a lower cost, we offer group classes as well. Contact us for information about group programs.
Yes your mentor can review your portfolio and provide Shariah compliance feedback. They can tell you which holdings are halal and which are not. They can help you calculate purification amounts. They can recommend halal alternatives. However they cannot give you personalized investment recommendations that constitute regulated financial advice. For example they cannot tell you to buy or sell a specific stock at a specific price. That would require a license. They can educate you on how to screen stocks yourself. They can explain the criteria. They can give examples. But the final decision to buy or sell is yours. This limitation is required by Hong Kong securities law. We comply with all regulations.
Yes we offer limited scholarships for students and those with financial hardship. To apply for a scholarship, send us an email explaining your situation. Tell us why you want mentorship and why you cannot afford the full fee. We read every application. We have a limited number of scholarships available each year. If you are selected, you receive a 50 percent discount on the mentorship fee. You are responsible for the remaining 50 percent. We do not offer full scholarships because we believe that even a small financial contribution increases commitment. If you cannot afford the 50 percent, we can discuss a payment plan. We want to help serious students regardless of their financial situation.
Our certification program is self paced. You watch videos and take exams. There is no live interaction with instructors. Our webinars are one time events. You attend a session and then it is over. Our courses are group classes. You learn with other students. Mentorship is different. It is one on one. It is personalized to your needs. It includes ongoing support over months. Mentorship is for serious learners who want deep understanding and accountability. It is more expensive than our other programs because it requires more of our time. But for many students, the results justify the cost. You learn faster. You stay motivated. You get your specific questions answered. If you are committed to mastering Islamic finance, mentorship is the best path.
